At the Investment Outlook – 2013 event organized by Indian Merchants' Chamber, SEBI Chairman UK Sinha expressed concerns about rapid development of grey market and fraudulent schemes in India.

He also said that in the past 7 months, SEBI has rejected 150 consent applications. SEBI Chairman also stressed on the need for a single regulator to look into cases of Collective Investment Schemes.

And lastly, without taking the name of the company, SEBI Chairman UK Sinha said that he wonders how a company can claim to have refunded Rs 20,000 crore in three-four months
