Kotak Securities has come out with its first quarter (April-June) earnings estimates for banking sector. The brokerage house expects HDFC Bank to report a 2.5 percent degrowth quarter-on-quarter (growth of 30 percent year-on-year) in net profit at Rs 1842.9 crore.

Net interest income is expected to increase by 1.4 percent Q-o-Q (up 25.1 percent Y-o-Y) to Rs 4357.5 crore, according to Kotak Securities.
