Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "I would stay away from PSU banks except State Bank of India . Most of these banks have been beaten down so much that even without the Nifty's support some kind of a minor relief rally could have been in the offing. That is exactly what we are seeing."

"In fact they continue to underperform even the Bank Nifty. The trade is to go for private sector banks which are doing much better. Eventually go and short PSU banks whenever this rally shows signs of extortion," he said.
