According to Mehraboon Irani of Nirmal Bang Securities, Idea Cellular is a decent bet at Rs 135-140.

Mehraboon Irani of Nirmal Bang Securities told CNBC-TV18, "Over last three years I have felt that telecom is wastage of time as far as trying to buy into the stocks goes. However, I personally feel that some exposure needs to be taken into this sector. I think what has happened over the last two days is Reliance's entry that has absolutely changed people's way of looking at telecom stocks. I have turned positive towards this."

"We have not yet bought into anything but we are looking at Idea Cellular maybe around Rs 135-140 where I think would be a decent bet. As far as Bharti Airtel goes there is still very much concerned about the over leveraged balance sheet. I think Bharti Airtel would possibly look back at Rs 275-280 levels where also I won't show much of interest," he added.
