Legendary investor Warren Buffet believes that the US economy is growing at a moderate, but consistent pace.
In an exclusive interaction with CNBC'S Becky Quick today, Buffet said that we was neither wildly optimistic nor wildly pessimistic regarding the economic recovery in the US.
Meanwhile, Buffett's conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway posted a record profit in 2013, jumping 31 percent over the previous year. Its profit for the full year rose to USD 19.5 billion from USD 14.8 billion in 2012, the company said in a statement on Saturday.
Net income rose to USD 4.99 billion in the fourth quarter, or USD 3,035 per Class A share, from USD 4.55 billion, or USD 2,757 per share, a year earlier.
Quarterly operating profit advanced to USD 3.78 billion, or USD 2,297 per share, from USD 2.81 billion, or USD 1,704 per share in the year-earlier quarter, the statement added.
Chairman and chief executive Buffett released his annual letter to shareholders last week, in which he advised shareholders to keep investments simple and diversified .
