In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Reema Tendulkar and Nigel D'Souza, Venkat Jasti, CEO, Suven Life Sciences spoke about the company's Q4 performance and the road ahead.
Suven Life Sciences rose 0.58 percent on BSE after its net profit jumped 275 percent to Rs 32.40 crore on 75 percent growth in revenue to Rs 132 crore in Q4 March 2014 over same period last year.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Reema Tendulkar and Nigel D'Souza, Venkat Jasti, CEO, Suven Life Sciences spoke about the company's Q4 performance and the road ahead.
Below is a verbatim transcript of the interview
Reema: Your sales have gone up by close to about 100 percent in FY14. What is the outlook looking for FY15? What is the revenue growth expectation and what will be driving it?
A: 2013-2014 was an extraordinary year for us and because of the three NCEs, for which we have supplied launch quantities to the tune of Rs 170 crore, that has given the growth this year and also the bottomline.
However, sustaining that immediately maybe difficult, but after one-year, it will come back because the regular supplies will start taking place after the launch. So, as of 2014 and 2015 we expect Rs 400-450 crore on the topline and about Rs 80-90 crore on the bottomline.
Reema: Rs 170 crore additional revenues you got on account of the pre launch of three NCEs, right?
A: That is right.
Nigel: Could you take us through how your margins will look in the coming quarters?
A: We expect about 13-14 percent PAT margins. The EBITDA margin is about 18 percent.
Reema: What is the amount that you are planning to spend on R&D for FY15 as a percentage of revenues?
A: Percentage of revenues is difficult to say but quantum we are talking about close to Rs 60 crore. This year, we have spent about close to Rs 48 crore.
