As far as gas is concerned, Prakash Javadekar said that petroleum and other things definitely have a bearing of what is happening in Middle East particularly Iraq, Syria and everywhere and so, that definitely impacts.
Finance minister Arun Jaitely presented his maiden Budget in the Lok Sabha today. According to him, instead of raising the government income and filling the treasure by raising taxes, the finance minister has planned for broadening the economic activities.
According to Prakash Javadekar, Minister, Environment, Minister, I&B, once economic activities are expanded, the government revenues will also go up. This is fundamentally correct way and correct approach.
"On inflation, for 10 years RBI only did demand squeezing by raising interest rates for 17 times but that did not work. Now we are addressing the supply side issue and so, we are ensuring irrigation and taking care of the supply side issue. Once you address the supply side issue, it is the real anti-inflation measure," he added.

"However, we are still confident that with alternative things we can go ahead with our plan and without inflation it will ensure growth with raising government income through expanded economic activities," he added.
