Revenue is seen rising 13 percent to Rs 3,425 crore in the quarter ended December 2014 from Rs 3,022 crore in same quarter last year.
Operating profit may jump 16.2 percent on yearly basis to Rs 898 crore and margin may expand 60 basis points to 26.2 percent in the quarter gone by.
Analysts expect India growth to continue (but that may be partially offset by Yen depreciation impacting Japan) and Q-o-Q slowdown in sales of drugs such as Cymbalta and Niaspan generic.
India is estimated to grow around 18 percent during the quarter. Indian business grew 20 percent in Q2, but slowed from 29 percent growth in Q1FY15.
Analysts expect underlying improvement in Japan to be offset by decline in Yen. They expect 15 percent constant currency growth in Japan's revenue in Q3FY15.
In US, pickup in Suprax is likely to partially make up for the Q-o-Q moderation in Cymbalta & Niaspan generic. US may also benefit from launches such as Celebrex generic (used for arthritis) that launched in December 2014. Lupin garnered 10 percent market share in 1st week.
