PFC on Wednesday signed an MoU with the Ministry of Power for the financial year 2015-16. As per the pact, the company will disburse loans worth Rs 44,440 crore during the current fiscal.

Target of gross NPAs (non-performing assets) as percentage of loan assets has been kept as 1 percent. PFC, reported 4.83 percent rise in net profit at Rs 1,541.73 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014-15, mainly on account of increase in income from operations.
It had reported net profit of Rs 1,534.31 crore in the October-December period of 2013-14 fiscal.
PFC is engaged in funding of various power projects in generation, transmission, and distribution sectors. The company's scrip closed at Rs 281.75, up 3.3 percent, on the BSE.
