Police act against touts in Shirdi

Shirdi (Mah), Nov 3 (PTI) In a crack-down on touts who harass the devotees visiting the Saibaba temple here, police have detained as many as 122 persons since last night. Additional Superintendent of Police Sunita Thakare said that the action was taken against these agents, who solicit clients for hotel rooms, parking facilities, etc, under the Criminal Procedure Code. Five teams of police were deployed for the operation, she said. The action was taken ahead of the visit by President Pranab Mukherjee on November 16, she said. PTI Cor HVJ KRK
